I'm Tre Smith — Founder & CEO of Verse. I'm a software architect with over 20 years of experience building enterprise systems, automation platforms, and AI tooling. Before Verse, I served as Chief Automation Architect and AI Specialist, designing the kind of infrastructure that Fortune 500 companies depend on. That engineering rigor is baked into everything our team builds.
Before tech, I played running back/punt returner at Auburn University (2002–2006), then went pro — playing in the CFL for the BC Lions and Hamilton Tiger-Cats, with NFL training camps for the Cleveland Browns and Atlanta Falcons. When it came time to choose between chasing the league and building a career with a longer shelf life, I chose my MBA at Auburn's Harbert College of Business. I've never regretted it.
I founded Verse to give local businesses access to the same growth infrastructure that large companies take for granted — custom-coded websites, managed ad campaigns, real tracking, and ongoing optimization — without the enterprise price tag or the need to hire a marketing department.
